FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect at a WTC service?

When you come to church on either Saturday nights or Sunday mornings at the WTC, you can expect a relaxed atmosphere, upbeat music, and practical, Biblical teaching. As a visitor, you will find it a safe place to come: We will not ask or expect anything from you, and you may remain completely anonymous if you wish to.

What should I wear?

At The WTC, we like to focus more on the people than on what they are wearing. Simply dress how you’re comfortable and you will be fine.

How long will the service go?

Our services tend to last between 60 and 70 minutes. However, since you may find yourself meeting a few new people and wanting to chat, plan for an hour and a half.

What type of music do you sing?

We generally worship with up-beat, contemporary Christian music. While this is our primary worship style, we try to sing a variety of worship music to keep things fresh and to give variety to our service.

What is there for my kids?

Nursery care is provided during the service for young children.

Is it possible to get a ride to church if I am unable to drive?

If you need a ride to church, we would be more than happy to help you find one. Just call Jon Crane 515-201-8222 or Kerry Poucher 515-770-1814, and we’ll work something out.

How do I get to Heaven?

In order to have a personal and meaningful relationship with God, you must first understand that:

  • You are a sinner. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
  • There is a price to be paid for sin. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death.”
  • Jesus died to pay for your sins. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
  • God wants to save you if you will turn from your sins and trust Him—If you do, you will be saved. Romans 10:13 says, “For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”

If you would like to receive eternal life right now, all you must do is pray. Simply tell God that you realize you are a sinner and that you need Him to forgive you of your sins, that you want Him to save you and take you to heaven with Him when you die. If you ask Him, He will do exactly that!

If after reading this you have prayed this prayer or if you have questions and want more information about what God has to offer, please contact a pastor, and we would love to speak with you.

If I have other questions I would like to have answered before visiting, can I ask them somewhere?

Absolutely! Simply contact us by phone or email-
